Retro Hutch Antiques was built from memory, resilience, and a deep love for the stories that objects carry. 

At its core, Retro Hutch stands for compassion, advocacy, and belonging. As a team, we proudly support veterans, the LGBTQ+ community, and survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking. These causes reflect who we are — people who believe in second chances, safety, and the healing power of connection. Our work is rooted in empathy and respect, both for people and for the history held within every item we curate. 

Founded and curated by Ariel Garrison, Retro Hutch is a celebration of rediscovery — a space where the past finds purpose again. Ariel believes that every piece, no matter how overlooked or timeworn, holds beauty and potential. What others might pass by, she sees as an opportunity to tell a story, to give history a second life, and to connect emotion to form once more. 

Retro Hutch was born from the belief that vintage should be accessible — not gatekept, not overpriced, and never out of reach. Every item is chosen with care to honor its past while staying affordable and authentic. The comfort of yesterday, we believe, should belong to everyone. 

Meet the Team

Meet Ariel

A maker, collector, and storyteller at heart, Ariel Garrison is the creative force behind Retro Hutch Antiques. By day, she’s a UX Copywriter, driven by a natural curiosity for people and what motivates them — how they think, what they value, and what brings them comfort. That same instinct carries into her love for vintage, where she studies the emotional connection between people and the objects they once cherished.  Ariel has a keen eye for antiques, oddities, and one-of-a-kind treasures, proudly admitting she’s “addicted to collecting dead people’s stuff so you don’t have to.” She spends her time crafting terrariums and skull art, blending curiosity, nature, and nostalgia into creations that are as soulful as they are strange in the best way.  Through Retro Hutch, Ariel channels her professional empathy and creative curiosity into something tangible — a brand that proves beauty exists in imperfection, and that everything (and everyone) deserves another chance to be seen, valued, and loved.

Meet Jeff

Jeff Frogge — Marine Corps veteran, photographer, and the backbone of Retro Hutch — brings discipline, creativity, and dedication to every part of the business. He works at the National Veterans Cemetery in Grand Prairie, Texas, where his service and integrity echo through his work both in and outside the shop. 

Jeff has a passion for photography and a talent for capturing the quiet details that make old things feel alive again. He’s also the auction headhunter, responsible for finding many of Retro Hutch’s best treasures. His patience, sharp eye, and persistence keep the inventory flowing and the stories growing. 

He’s also the one who fuels the couple’s plant addiction and dives into furniture flipping and décor restoration, breathing new life into the pieces Ariel brings home. Together, they turn forgotten finds into future favorites. 

Meet Rachel

Rachel Moore brings structure, grounding, and a people-first mindset to Retro Hutch Antiques. In her professional life, she serves as a Terminal Manager at DFW Airport, where her leadership and commitment to customer experience keep complex systems running smoothly every single day. 

That same dedication translates directly into her partnership with Retro Hutch. Rachel’s ability to stay organized, anticipate needs, and create calm amid chaos makes her the steady heartbeat of the business. She helps manage day-to-day operations, assists with content creation, and ensures the brand runs with the same care and professionalism she brings to her career. 

She’s also the first to jump in the car for a Facebook Marketplace mission or spontaneous thrift run, balancing fun with focus and keeping Ariel and Jeff grounded while their creative sparks fly. Rachel’s balance of structure and heart keeps Retro Hutch moving forward — ensuring every beautiful bit of chaos turns into something meaningful.
